Make Birthday Decorations For A 15th Birthday

Plan a 15th birthday.

A 15th birthday is just as special as any other. Luckily, this number lends itself to one-of-a-kind decorations. Latin American families call a girl's 15th birthday the quinceanera and have a big bash for family and friends.

Since 15 hits in the middle of the teen years, choose a teen friendly theme for the party. Tie in an element that includes something the birthday boy or girl loves, such as sports, art or music. By creating the "15" themed decorations and adding in a few personal touches, you'll create a memorable atmosphere for a birthday celebration. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Decorate the entryway with your theme. If the child turning 15 loves the beach, choose a beach theme and decorate the doorway with palm trees and grass skirts. A Hollywood theme can be popular with teens. Roll a red carpet out the front door and enlist younger siblings or neighborhood kids to scream with delight and ask for autographs as the guests arrive, treating them like celebrities.

2. Blow up balloons and group them in batches of 15. Write the number 15 on the balloons with a permanent marker. A silver or gold permanent marker looks elegant on a dark balloon. A black marker shows up best on a light colored balloon.

3. Create a centerpiece that matches your theme. For a beach theme, add coconuts and Hawaiian leis. For a movie theme, put up some framed movie posters. For a more generic centerpiece, try grouping 15 objects, such as 15 candles in the birthday person's favorite color.

4. Create posters that have sayings with the number 15. Use a marker to write phrases such as "Happy 15" and "15 Candles". Hang the posters around the room.
