Plan A Family Trip To Hawaii

With miles of beaches, a rich history, traditions and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, visiting Hawaii is worth the long plane ride to get there. There are six Hawaiian Islands, each with its own flare. The tropical paradise is not just for lovers, but for the entire family to enjoy.

Instructions

1. Choose which islands you want to visit. Molokai is a more remote, less populated island while Oahu is more cosmopolitan. On Kauai you'll find Waimea Canyon and 3,000 foot cliffs on the Napali coast. Lanai offers visitors activities like four-wheeling through the island and exploring shipwrecks on the beach. The big island of Hawaii allows visitors to explore volcano fields, the Valley of the Kings and ancient religious temples. Maui offers jungle beauty in Iao Valley.

2. Opt for an island cruise if you want to see more than one island. Some cruise lines visits all six Hawaiian islands and include family friendly activities for all ages.

3. Pick a hotel on the island you are visiting. If traveling with a lot of people, rent a condominium. They are cheaper if you require more than one hotel room.

4. Plan island activities. Each island offers exciting activities. Some hotels offer special prices or packages for activities such as luaus or hula lessons. Budget your money to accommodate the activities you want to enjoy.

5. Decide if you need a rental car. Buses travel to most tourist locations, but if you want to explore or don't like public transportation, rent a car.
