Make Pogo Games Fill The Whole Screen

Online gaming hub Pogo uses a Java platform to run its constantly growing archive of games from every genre. Whether solving one of the numerous puzzle games or competing with other players online in a virtual card game, the window can be so small, it becomes difficult to see. This is especially true for players with small, high-resolution monitors. While the gaming window itself cannot be naturally expanded to fit the screen, players can adjust their monitors to enlarge the playing field.

Instructions

Mac OS X

1. Open your Internet browser and visit Pogo. Find the game you wish to play by using the website's main gaming toolbar. Click the "Play" button for the title you wish to begin playing. The game will open in a new browser window.

2. Position your cursor near the center of the game's window. While holding "Ctrl," place two fingers on your computer's trackpad and slide forward to zoom the monitor's focus toward the cursor until it has filled the screen. If you have a mouse instead of a trackpad, push the center scroll wheel forward to achieve the same effect. The mouse can be moved again at any point to readjust the center focus of the zoom.

3. Hold the "Ctrl" key and touch two fingers to the trackpad. Slide downward to zoom out (or roll the scroll wheel backward) whenever you have finished playing the game in order to zoom out and return your monitor to its default size.

Windows 7

4. Open your Internet browser and visit Pogo. Select a game you wish to play by browsing the website's main gaming toolbar. Click the "Play" button for the title you wish to begin playing. The game will open in a new browser window.

5. Click the start menu and access your computer's control panel. Click the drop-down list labeled "Resolution." Your monitor will likely be running at a higher resolution to fit more objects on the screen, but a lower resolution will make every object on the screen appear larger (with a loss of clarity). Highlight and select a lower resolution. To avoid significant blur on the monitor, select a resolution that is only one or two levels below your current settings.

6. Click "Apply" for the changes to take effect immediately. Your monitor will momentarily go blank. When the screen returns, a window will appear asking whether you wish to keep the changes to your monitor settings. If you are satisfied with the new settings, click "OK." If you want to try a different setting or return to your default resolution, click "Cancel" or wait a few seconds for the window's timer to expire.
