Make Hawaiian Themed Crafts For Kids

Seashells

Creating Hawaiian themed crafts for kids provides a rainy day activity suited for even very young children. The crafts can also be used as party favors or as festive decorations for group gatherings.

Instructions

Making a Lei

1. Cut colored straws into 1-inch pieces.

2. Draw simple flower shapes on colored construction paper.

3. Cut out flower shapes and set aside.

4. Cut yarn to desired length.

5. Punch a hole in the middle of each paper flower.

6. Slide the construction paper flowers and straw pieces onto the yarn. Alternate straw and flower pieces while beading the necklace.

7. Tie the yarn ends together and knot securely.

10. Paint the picture frames with a bright color of acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry for an hour.

11. Take photos of the children. Print the photo.

12. Glue the seashells to desired areas of the frame. Insert the group photo.
