If you have card stock and markers on hand, you have the makings for simple grade school graduation invitations. To add a personal touch to these, you might enlist your young graduate to add some of his own artwork to the front or inside of these. Unlike store bought invitation cards, these are cheaper to make and your child can add a personal touch to each of them. With your child helping you to make these, the work will proceed twice as fast as it would with you making the invitations alone.
Instructions
1. Fold each half sheet of card stock in half along the width. This will result in a greeting card size and shaped blank card.
2. Write on the front "You're invited to a graduation for (your child's name)." Write anything similar to this if desired, but be sure that the recipient knows the occasion and the name of the graduate before opening the card.
3. On the inside of the card, write the place, date and time. Include a map to the location, if necessary. Include an R.S.V.P. inside the card in case your child's school requires it.
4. Give the cards with the information written on them to your child for her to decorate using the markers, crayons, stickers or other decorations.
5. Collect the finished invitations and distribute them to the invitees.
