Create your own candy bags.
Party favors and gift bags are one of the best parts about attending a party, the anticipation about what is going to be inside and the surprise in finding out what is really in there. Candy bags provide your guests with a "thank you." Not only that, but they can also be customized to add to the excitement in leaving with your own goody bag. Guests will appreciate the thought and creativity behind homemade candy bags.
Instructions
Cellophane Candy Bags
1. Print out a design on either the sticker paper or card stock for your candy bags.
2. Open a cellophane bag and measure the bottom dimensions of the bag.
3. Cut pieces of card stock matching the measurements from Step 2. Place in the bottom of the bags.
4. Fill your bags with assorted candy.
5. Using the measurements in Step 2, cut your printed designs to match the width of the bags.
6. If using sticker paper, remove the backing and seal the bag. If using card stock, fold over and staple in the center.
Paper Candy Bags
7. If making your own bags, take your paper grocery bag and open it up, ungluing where it was put together. Following the bag's template, reduce it in size to meet your requirements and draw it on the bag.
8. Cut and glue your mini-bags.
9. Decorate your bags using stamps, stickers, markers or any other medium.
10. Punch two holes at the top of your bags.
11. Fill your bags with candy and secure by tying ribbon through the holes.
