Make birthday programs for guests attending large milestone birthday parties.
Many milestone birthdays are celebrated with family and friends at large parties. The size and the location depend upon the celebrant's age and personal preferences. An 80 year old may enjoy celebrating eight decades of life with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren at a hall in the afternoon. It is relatively easy to make a birthday program that the celebrant and guests will enjoy. Detail the time and length of party details, such as games, food and opening presents. Create a program that celebrates the celebrant's life that guests can save as a keepsake and pass down to future generations. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Create a timeline for the birthday party listing all games and events. In addition, list live entertainment, food served and special guests, such as a surprise visit from a relative that the birthday girl has not seen in years or a celebrity.
2. Gather photos of special events detailing the life of the birthday celebrant, as well as their favorite quotes and poems. Other things that may be included in the program are personal notes from guests or page dedicated to popular events on the day they were born, such as who was president, top song, box office hits and big news.
3. Design the card on word publishing software. The front of the program can include a picture of the birthday boy as a baby and titled "Bob's 80th Birthday Extravaganza." Inside left should list details of the event, such as the timeline, food and theme. The back of the program should contain a poem, quote or just a few words thanking the guests for their attendance. Other pages may include a biography of the birthday celebrant, photos, poems and special events highlighting their life.
4. Print program and examine it to be sure folds in half properly, without cutting off pictures or words. Adjust layout as necessary until you are satisfied with the overall look.
5. Fold one piece of heavy cardstock in half for each program being made.
6. Fold 8 1/2-by-11 inch sheets of paper in half to form inside pages of the program. If there are 12 inside pages, you will need three sheets of paper for each program.
7. Print the quantity of programs desired. An alternative is to take one completed program to a printer to print.
8. Punch holes on the top or sides of the program and attach program together with a colorful ribbon. Add embellishments as desired.
