Use Hulahoops For Golf Swing Training

A Hula-hoop can help golfers perfect their swings.

Hula-hoops can help to train a golfer's uphill and downhill swings. A player who put a hoop on the ground can get a visual of how far out his hips swing as he swings the club. By making tighter uphill and downhill hip turns, a player can prevent a thin shot, which means the club is striking too high on the golf ball, and a fat shot, which means the club is hitting the ground before hitting the ball.

Instructions

1. Place a Hula-hoop on the ground.

2. Take your golfer's stance inside the Hula-hoop with golf club in hand.

3. Swing at an imaginary ball, and pay attention to your swing.

4. Focus on your uphill hip swing.

5. Turn your right hip along the right curve of the Hula-hoop.

6. Practice the swing until your right hip stays within the Hula-hoop area.

7. Focus on your downhill hip swing.

8. Turn your left hip along the left-hand curve of the Hula-hoop.

9. Practice the swing until your hip learns to turn inside of the Hula-hoop.
