Word A Rubber Ducky Birthday Invitation

Word a Rubber Ducky Birthday Invitation

A Rubber Ducky Birthday Party is a fun way to celebrate a young child's birthday. It is a popular theme, so you can be sure to find great ducky-oriented accessories. If you have been planning the party for a while, you probably have the ingredients for things like banana smoothies, duck-shaped cookies cutters and invitations-but what to write on those invitations? Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Write down ideas about words associated with rubber ducks. Some suggestions are "splish splash," bathtub, waddle, quack and swim. The words you use will likely depend on the type of party--a pool party, an outdoor party, an indoor party.

2. Write down some rhyming sentences that associate your duck-theme with the type of party it is. Some suggestions are, "Splish splash, (your child's name) is having a bash!", "From out of the tub and out the back door, bring your swimsuit and see what's in store!" A more traditional approach would be, "Rubber Ducky, you're the one, come and join us and have some fun!"

3. Buy duck-themed blank invitations and write them out, or make your own by cutting ducks out of construction paper. Add information about this party. Include the date and time of the party, the address where it will be held, and a telephone number where guests can RVSP.

4. Incorporate your ducky theme all the way through the invitation--for example, "Splish, Splash! (your child's name) is having a bash! So float on over, (date and time), to the (your last name's) Bathtub located at (your address). Give us a "Quack" to let us know you're coming (phone number)."
