Use Evite Website

Evite is a website that enables you to create free digital invitations to send to people via email. In addition to this feature, you also have the option to create eCards and even get party-planning suggestions for a specific occasion. If you are new to this site, performing these tasks may be a little confusing at first. Understand use the Evite website to take advantage of the digital communication tools.


Instructions


Invitations


1. Visit the Evite website and log in to your account. If you do not have a membership, click the "Register" link at the top of the page and follow the onscreen instructions to sign up.


2. Log in to your account and click the "Create an Invitation" button in the menu bar to design a new invitation. Click a category on the left, such as "Anniversary," and then click on the design you want to use.


3. Enter the event information, such as a title and your name, in the provided text fields and then click the "Next Step" button to continue. Follow the prompts to add guest emails and invite options such as a reply style.


4. Click the "Preview Invitation" button to see your work and then click the "Finish & Send" button to deliver your message to your friends. Click your name in the upper, right corner and select "Events" from the drop-down list to view your invitation or edit it, if necessary.


eCards


5. Click the "eCards" menu item and then click an occasion, such as "Congratulations," in the left column. This action brings you to Evite's Free eCards page, which is provided by American Greetings. Review the designs that appear and then click the one you want to use. Note that the free offerings have the label "Free" on the design, while the premium cards are available only if you pay for a monthly or yearly membership.


6. Click the "personalize & send" button to customize the card of your choice. Type your personalized message in the text box provided and then click the "continue to step 2" button to add an optional gift, such as Amazon.com gift card, and the recipient's email address.


7. Click the "send your e-card" button to submit your message.

8. Click the "More" item in the menu bar and then select the "Entertaining" title in the drop-down list.


9. Click an event, such as "BBQ," on the left side.


10. Review the page that comes up to get ideas for your occasion including suggestions for invitations, decorations and food. Each section on the page is tailored towards the event you specify.
