Write A Letter To Inform Family Of A Reunion

Compose a fun letter that gives family members all the info on your family reunion.

Planning a family reunion is a lot of work, but well worth it when all of your loved ones have gathered in one place. Whether this is a simple get together at a relative's house or an all-out weekend extravaganza in an exotic location, the first step is to inform all of your family members about the event. Once you have a date and general plan in mind, write a letter that informs relatives of the most important details they will need to know about the reunion. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Write a list of the details you want to include, such as the date and location of the reunion, transportation and lodging options, any planned activities or themes and RSVP information.

2. Write a short introduction that lets family members know what the letter is about. Explain that you're planning the reunion and want to be sure they have all the information now so they can begin making plans to attend.

3. Help make it easier for the recipients to find the information they need by creating lists (use the bullet-point feature on your word processor if you are typing the letter). Label the date and location clearly.

4. Explain a few of the activities you have planned, and let guests know if there is anything specific they may need to pack (bathing suits, skis) in order to participate. If the reunion is not completely planned, let them know you are open to ideas and encourage them to contact you.

5. Write the last paragraph and include the RSVP information. For big events, it's a good idea to indicate a date family members must respond by to make planning easier and more accurate for you.
