Word An Invitation For A Class Reunion

The invitation for a class reunion can help set the tone for the big event.

If you are organizing a class reunion, you will need to send out invitations at least four to six weeks in advance to invite your guests. Whether you are making the invitations on your own or commissioning a printer, you will need to word the invitations properly to inform the attendants of the important details of the event. The invitations you send will help set the tone for big event; the phrasing you use is instrumental in setting this tone.

Instructions

1. Determine the level of formality of the event. If the reunion is a formal, black tie event, the invitation should not only indicate this in writing, it should be worded to suggest it. "You are cordially invited" sounds more elegant than "We're having a party."

2. Open with a phrase to indicate the type of event, such as "Hello, class of 1992." Immediately, the reader will understand what type of event is taking place.

3. Tell the guest the date and time of the reunion. This information should be clear, so guests can make plans to attend well in advance.

4. Inform the reader where the reunion will be held. Indicate how one could get directions, if needed. Include a map. If the reunion held in a certain place, such as a conference hall in a hotel, this information should be indicated so guests don't get lost searching for the party.

5. Include any extra information that would be of importance to the guests. If the guests need any other special tips, such as parking information, indicate this here.
