Word A Unique Baby Shower Invitation

Unique baby shower invitations are even more special for the expectant mother.

Both joyous and memorable, baby showers allow family and friends the chance to celebrate an upcoming birth. While there are many pre-made invitations available both online and in stores, they tend to be generic and may not be the type of invitation you desire. If you have a special mom-to-be, consider making her a customized baby shower invitation. She's guaranteed to treasure it and appreciate the time and effort you put into it. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Get a feel for the expectant mother's overall personality and preferences. Figure out whether she is religious, artistic, poetic or musical. Also find out if the family has chosen a name for the baby and include it in the invitation. For example, if the mother-to-be is an English teacher, try to figure out if she has a favorite author or poet. If the mother-to-be has a theme picked out for the nursery, consider creating a rhyme about that.

2. Decide whether to create a formal or informal invitation. Formal invitations can have creative wording in the introduction sentence. Informal invitations can be structured however you see fit.

3. Pick an introduction phrase that matches the personality of the mom-to-be. For a William Blake fan, you could always take the quote, "Little lamb, dost thou know who made thee?" If the nursery is going to have a Noah's Ark theme, you could start the invitation off with a poem such as "Two by two or one by one, babies are so much fun."

4. Select an image and layout for the invitation that matches the wording. For the first example, place a picture of a baby and a lamb on the invitation. For a Noah's Ark baby shower, find a cute picture of the ark with some animals popping their heads out.

5. Include the necessary invitation components in a readable format. An artistic introduction is excellent, but the guests need to easily see the date, time, location and contact information for the host.
