Eighth-grade graduation marks an important transition in your child's life.
Graduating from the eighth grade is an important event for your child. To mark the occasion, you will want to invite family and friends to attend the ceremony and perhaps, hold a celebration thereafter. While the eighth-grade graduation does not quite garner the attention a high school graduation does, nevertheless this marks an important transition for the child. High school is a big step toward the child's independence of thought. Word your invitation to convey this point to your audience, while offering clear and concise language to denote honor to and appreciation for the audience's attendance.
Instructions
1. Begin your invitation with an announcement: for example, "John and Jane Doe cordially invite you to take part in an important event."
2. On the next line write the name of your child and the event, such as "Johnny Doe's eighth-grade graduation ceremony."
3. Record the date on the next line so that your guests can plan ahead: for example, "Friday, the thirtieth of May, two thousand eleven." Spell out all words on this line if you want to make it a formal invitation. If informal, do not spell out the date; use numbers instead.

7. Give your phone number at the bottom of the invitation, such as, "RSVP to John and Jane Doe at 123-456-7890."
