Hula is a dance steeped in the Hawaiian tradition. Hula can be a difficult dance but a rewarding and entertaining skill to practice and teach. Hula is popular for many reasons, one of the main purposes is for the wonderful exercise component involved in dancing the Hula. Learn teach hula lessons and reap the rewards of imparting your hard earned skills to others.


Instructions


1. Learn the hula well. Visit Hawaii or Japan (or a Hawaiian or Japanese native) to learn hula dance the proper way. Also, you should learn the traditions and history of the dance so that you can impart this knowledge to your students.


2. Make flyers to advertise your hula lessons. Indicate the cost and the time, and put your contact information for those interested to contact you.


3. Visit gyms and dance studios and ask if you can put your fliers up on a bulletin board. Do some networking amongst gym and dance studio patrons to try and pull in some students.


4. Secure a location for teaching your hula lessons. Make your lessons in the evening or weekends so that it is more accessible to a larger number of interested parties.


5. Take phone calls and contact information from interested parties and decide on a meet and greet time and location. Plan an introduction party where you give a dance demonstration and offer traditional Hawaiian/Japanese food and decoration to get other people excited.
