Swim With The Dolphins At Paradise Island Bahamas

Swim with the dolphins at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.


The Atlantis Resort & Casino, on Paradise Island, Bahamas, offers several dolphin interactions at a private beach called Dolphin Cay. Atlantis has a full range of activities, from massive water slides to an interactive water playground for young visitors. Atlantis also offers exotic sea creatures, on display throughout the resort, a recreation of the lost city of Atlantis, and a number of restaurants and boutiques. The casino is restricted to those 18 and older.


Instructions


Dolphin interaction


1. Meet your dolphin. Whether you choose a shallow water interaction or a deep water swim, your dolphin adventure starts after you don the supplied wetsuit. In the water, you learn signal to a dolphin.


2. Hug and kiss a dolphin. Participants in the shallow or deep water swim get to spend a few minutes greeting a dolphin. The dolphin swims up to you, under the guidance of a trainer.


3. Ask friends or family members to film your dolphin encounter. Observers get a free pass to the private beach so they can record your dolphin encounter. If your child wants to do a dolphin encounter without a parent, he must be at least 10 years old. Shallow interactions are open to all ages, but those under 10 must be accompanied by a parent.


4. Snorkel with a dolphin if you have chosen a deep water swim. Deep water swims are limited to those 10 years and older, and you must be able to swim.


5. Spend the rest of the day at Dolphin Cay's private beach with free non-alcoholic drinks, beach towels, private restrooms and showers.


Behind-the-scenes


6. Go behind-the-scenes with the Trainer for a Day program, which includes dolphin and sea lion training sessions, dolphin swim and lunch. The trainer program is for ages 10 and up, in good physical condition.


7. Feed nurse sharks and stingrays.


8. Snorkel with stingrays, tropical fish and sharks in the Seagrapes Lagoon.
