Summer beach parties can be created regardless of your location or the season, it just takes appropriate decorations, food and entertainment. Food
Prepare a variety of summer-inspired foods for the beach party. For cool dishes,use the freshest available produce to prepare fruit and vegetable salads; for hot appetizers, offer skewers of meat marinated and grilled in summer barbecue sauces.
Traditional cookout food such as hamburgers and hot dogs can be a familiar main course, or try something maybe less familiar, like beer-can chicken, roasts of beef or pork, or grilled seafood. Popular grilled desserts include S'mores with roasted marshmallows or grill fresh fruits and top them with ice cream.
Games
Invite guests to demonstrate their athletic prowess with summertime games like volleyball, beach soccer, softball and bocce ball. A limbo contest is another popular beach party game, as are games like relay races, three-legged races, horseshoes and balloon-popping contests.
Drinks
Fruity summer drinks like daquiris, margaritas and fruititas can be offered with or without alcohol. If offering alcohol, set up a table of liquor, mixers, blender, a cooler of ice and other ingredients where adults can access it but children cannot. Guests can mix their own drinks or someone who knows make a variety of summer drinks can bar tend.
Location
A summer beach party doesn't require a beach, just an area that can be decorated in a beach theme.Ttiki torches can be used to outline the party space; some torches contain a mild bug repellent to help keep flying insects away. Use brightly colored streamers and table cloths to create a beach feel. Locate your beach party near a body of water by creating one out of a kiddie pool. Fill the pool with plastic plants and animals that would be found at the beach.
