Get the word out about a bowling party with fliers.
A bowling party lets you gather a large group of people together without needing to plan a number of activities. Throw a bowling party for your child's birthday, to celebrate a family reunion or for an organization or club of which you're a member. Make up fliers to distribute that announce the party instead of personalized invitations. Does this Spark an idea?
Flier Basics
Make your fliers colorful and eye-catching. Use clip art and include graphics of a bowling ball hitting the pins or an image relevant to your particular party, such as a birthday cake for a birthday party. Include the location of the bowling alley on the flier, along with a map and simple directions. Add the date and time of the party, as well as RSVP information. Print the flier on 8 1/2-by-11-inch standard copy or printer paper. If you prefer, print it on colored paper instead of basic white.
3-D Bowling Party Flier
Take the bowling party flier up a notch by adding a three-dimensional element to it. Cut out the shape of a bowling pin or bowling ball. Fold a 1-inch-wide strip of paper like an accordion and glue one end to the back of the cutout and the other end to the flier paper. Use foam lettering or cutout letters to add all relevant information to the flier, including date, time and location, as well as RSVP.
Flier for a Large Group
If you're planning a bowling party for an invitation-only large group, such as a youth group, sports team or a local club, you need to include additional information on the flier. If people need to pay to participate in the event, include the cost of the party and what the cost includes, such as two games of bowling per person and shoe rental. Make half or a quarter of the flier a cutoff registration form if necessary, including space for people to write their names and contact information.
Open-Party Flier
If you're opening your bowling party to anyone who would like to attend, include all of the relevant details on the flier. Include contact information or a website for your organization or club so that interested people may look you up before deciding to attend the party. Hang the fliers on bulletin boards in public spaces, such as at the grocery store or the community center. Give fliers to members of the organization to distribute.
