Preparing for a birthday party
A sweet 16 birthday party is an important milestone in most young girl's lives. Having a party will mean that the birthday girl gets to celebrate her special day with her friends and family. There are many different ideas that can be used to prepare a sweet 16 birthday party that a girl will be sure to remember. Does this Spark an idea?
Spa Party
Decorate the area where you are having the party with solid colored sheets draped over furniture and huge throw pillows placed on the floor. Lite candles that have a mild scent such as lavender. Set up stations where girls can get manicures, pedicures and facials. Give guests robes to wear over their clothes so they do not get dirty. Play soft music in the background. Serve fruity drinks in champagne flutes. Set out finger foods such as fruit and cucumber sandwiches for the guests to eat as they are enjoying their spa. Give the guests their own nail polish to take home as a party favor.
Chocolate Party
Hang streamers that are brown in color to represent chocolate. Blow up balloons that are the birthday girl's favor color. Set up a chocolate fountain that guests can dip marshmallows, cookies and fruit in. Pass around chocolate pieces and have guests try to identify what kind of candy it is. Play chocolate trivia where guests will open up a piece of candy with a trivia question inside and they will have to try to figure out the answer. Serve chocolate soda and food that has chocolate in it such as chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream. Send the guests home with assorted chocolates put in a plastic bag with a brown ribbon tied around it.
Princess Party
Decorate the party area with pastel colors. Put cloth chair covers over the chairs and matching cloth tablecloths on the tables. Use a chair that is higher than the others for the birthday girl's seat and decorate it with streamers that are her favorite color. Put place cards on the table with each guest's name so they know where they will be sitting. Have the birthday girl wear a princess tiara and a boa. Play music for everyone to dance to. Serve a formal dinner filled with the birthday girl's favorite foods. Have the guests take a picture with the birthday girl that can be printed out for them to take home as a keepsake.
