Include color-coordinated party blowers in your child's birthday goody bags.
You're almost done planning your child's birthday celebration. All that's left to do is put together goody bags as a parting gift to young guests. Adding a few simple, but colorful, items that match the party theme will make for favors that your little one's friends can use well after the party has ended. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Purchase small containers that match your child's party theme. For instance, mini plastic pails are ideal for a beach-themed birthday celebration, while a bandana can serve as the goody bag for a party with camp decorations.
2. Decorate the bag with the first initial of your child's name, or use paper or felt letters to spell the words "(your child's name)'s birthday party." Staple or glue the letters to the goody bag if space permits.
3. Fill the bag with color-coordinated items that match the celebration's decor. For example, a green paper goody bag with a green party blower and green, glow-in-the-dark bouncing balls are fitting if this is the main hue your child wanted for the party.
4. Include an item or two in the goody bag that matches the birthday party theme. Fill tea cups used as goody bags with edible treats like mini shortbread cookies or cupcakes. Ice them in one of the party's colors and fill in the empty spaces in the cup with small chocolate or mint candies.
5. Help your child write a simple thank-you card to place in the goody bag. Or you can write or type the words "Thanks for coming to my party!" and let your little one sign his name at the bottom of the card. Drop one card into each goody bag.
6. Tie a ribbon around the bags for more visual appeal, or include the ribbon somewhere on the goodie bag. For instance, tie a bow on the handle of the mini beach pail, or around the tea cup.
