Use the MP4 player's USB adapter to connect with a computer for a Limewire file transfer.
Portable MP4 players provide the luxury of listening to music while traveling, working or exercising. Limewire is a popular person-to-person file sharing network from which you can legally download and upload a wide variety of songs. You can add all of your favorite free legal music from Limewire to the MP4 player through its USB adapter. Connect your MP4 player and personal computer to get started.
Instructions
1. Download and install a Limewire client if you have not already done so. Visit the Limewire website to download the setup wizard (See Resources).
2. Search for and download your desired MP3 audio from the Limewire client. Search for songs by title, artist and album.
3. Double-click on a file in the search results list to download it.
4. Connect the MP4 player to your personal computer. Insert one end of the MP4 player's USB adapter into the device itself.
5. Insert the other end of the adapter into an available port on your computer. Wait for the computer to recognize your MP4 player as an attached device.
6. Double-click the MP4 player's device icon to open its file folder window.
7. Open your Limewire file folder in a separate file manager window. This is the folder to which your Limewire music downloads.
8. Drag and drop music from the Limewire file folder into the MP4 player's file folder window.
9. Safely remove the MP4 player from your computer. Right-click the MP4 player's device icon and select "Eject" or "Safely Remove Device."
