Plan A Tiki Party

For your tiki party to be a success, take your time during the planning process. You are paying homage to what the Polynesians believe is the creator of man. As a result of your careful planning, your tiki party will go off without a hitch. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Choose a date. Keep your guests' schedule in mind when picking a date. If your friends work weekends, a day during the week will work out best.


2. Determine the type of invitations you will send. Peruse the many websites offering evites as well as your local party store for traditional invitations.


3. Mail the invitations. Whether you choose email or regular mail, be sure to give your guests plenty of time to respond. At least two weeks should be sufficient because tiki parties are informal.


4. Create the menu. Choose foods that go with an island theme, such as grilled and fresh fruit skewers.


5. Decide what beverages you will serve. Be sure to offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and buy according to how many people have confirmed that they will be attending.


6. Pick music for the tiki party. Choose tropical island music such as traditional Hawaiian music. Reggae music is also a good choice.


7. Buy tiki-themed decorations. Go to a local party store and find decorations that fit the theme of the party. Check out party stores online, too.
