Port-au-Prince, Haiti boarding schools ensure a better future for many Haitian children.
Haiti has had its share of bad economic times and was hit with a massive earthquake in January 2010, Even after all of this, parents in Port-au-Prince, Haiti still hope that their children will get the education they need for a new future. Because of economic problems in the country, very few children get the chance to receive a quality education; however, some boarding schools offer free or low-cost tuition to students. Without these schools, children of impoverished families would not get the education they need for a successful future.
St Vincent's School for the Handicapped
St Vincent's School for the handicapped provides 400 blind, crippled or deaf students. The children are able to get an education and the school provides them with all the medical services that they may need. The children receive food, clothing and shelter as well as an education.
