Customize a bingo game for every holiday and occasion.
Bingo is an extremely versatile game that can be tweaked to suit just about any theme or age group. The same basic concept is used for each bingo theme, and the cards can be created in many different ways. There are thousands of free clip art images available online in just about every theme, shape, size and color. Be creative and use the resources around you to create a personalized bingo game for your next party or occasion.
Baby Shower Bingo
Baby showers are a great place to use a custom bingo game. You can replace the numbers on a traditional bingo game with baby items such as a pacifier, diaper, rattle and bottle. To make the game more personal you can add specific items such as the name of the baby, the sex, due date and tidbits about the parents.
Birthday Bingo
Birthday clip art can take your birthday bingo to the next level and allow the game to be played by much younger players. As soon as they know their colors and shapes, you can let them play this version of bingo. However, for older kids, you can use words instead of pictures to keep their interest. To make this more personalized, use words that describe the birthday child and things they like to do.
Valentine Bingo
Valentine Bingo can be made by just using hearts to cover numbers on traditional bingo cards or by using other words on the top of the card instead of bingo. Any five-letter word will work, so try using cupid, heart or candy. You can then come up with a list of 50 to 75 words that describe your feelings of Valentine’s Day or of your personal valentine. Divide the words out so there are about eight to 10 words for each letter of the card, and create the cards by placing the words in random orders so the cards do not duplicate.
Christmas Bingo
Printing Christmas bingo cards on color card stock, either red or green, can help add to the overall effect of the game. You can make the word list to describe family traditions, religious beliefs or common winter items. You can also use Christmas stickers in place of clip art. This would allow children to help with the actual construction of the cards, not just in the playing of them. Another idea is to use paper ornaments as markers instead of crossing out the square. This would ensure that you could play with the cards over and over.
