You can make your own rosebuds from tissue paper.
With a few steps, you can transform simple tissue paper into flowers for a centerpiece. Making your own tissue paper flowers in the event's colors allows you to design a centerpiece that fits your theme perfectly. It also gives you a long-lasting design that can be stored away for future use as these flowers do not die or require replacing. Another major advantage is you can make the centerpieces ahead of time, freeing you up the day of the event for more important tasks.
Instructions
Pom-Pom Flower
1. Cut the tissue paper into 6-inch rectangles.
2. Group four layers of the tissue paper together. Fold the rectangles into ½-inch sections lengthwise so that they look like an accordion.
3. Wrap a pipe cleaner around the center of the folded paper. Gently pull apart both sides of the folded edges. Fluff the layers of tissue paper to make the flower head
4. Spray paint a bamboo skewer green. Insert it into the center of the flower as the stem.
Flower Blossom
5. Lay one 4-inch square of tissue paper on the table.
6. Arrange a 4-inch square above it so that the total shape resembles a diamond.
7. Layer one more 4-inch square over both pieces. Position its corner points between the points left by the other two papers.
8. Pinch the center of the paper. Twist it twice. Wrap tape around the section.
9. Tape a bamboo skewer or a twig from a tree branch to the paper twist to finish your flower blossom.
Daffodil
10. Draw a 3-inch circle on yellow tissue paper. Cut the circle out.
11. Fold the circle in half. Fold it in thirds.
12. Use the scissors to round off the non-folded section of the paper and cut the edges partway down their sides.
13. Unfold the paper and tape it to the painted bamboo skewer.
14. Wrap a 4-inch piece of yellow tissue paper around your index finger. Twist one end to make the flower's center.
15. Glue the paper to the center of the bamboo stick to finish your tissue paper daffodil.
