You can plan a 50th Anniversary Celebration to encourage all who attend.

Anniversary celebrations can encourage both the couple and the guests who attend these events. When a couple reaches the milestone of 50 years of marriage with each other, you need to throw a memorable party and invite good friends and many relatives. If you plan ahead, choose a good location, decorate the site well and have enough food for all of the guests, you can plan a successful 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Select a date for the celebration. You can plan the event on any day you choose. However, attempt to hold the party during a time when the most people can attend; avoid having it during the holiday season, because many people may travel at this time.

2. Have the event at a nice location. Do your research when it comes to possible locations and choose areas close to your home that have enough room for all of the guests you plan to invite.

3. Write your guest list. Ask the couple who they want to attend the event and invite those people. You can also send invitations to school classmates, former work friends and others whom they talked about over the years.

4. Invite the guests on your list. Get your invites out in the mail about 42 days before the celebration. Include a phone number or email address through which the invitees can confirm their attendance.

5. Obtain the food and drink. You need to match the food with the event venue and style of your celebration. For instance, if you have a formal event, do not offer your guests only water and soda, but also champagne.

6. Line up your entertainment. You can select either a disc jockey who can play many forms of music or a live band that plays music from a certain era, such as the 1950s. Consider using music from the decade in which the couple met and fell in love, or select songs that have meant something to them throughout the years.

7. Decorate the venue with gold accessories, to represent the couple's Golden Anniversary. Also include items that may have sentimental value for the couple, or represent their shared interests. Use plenty of photos of the couple from their years together.
