Promote a Club
Unless you've been in business for 20 years, you need to promote a nightclub aggressively at first and consistently once patrons start coming in. Nothing will bring them back like friendly staff, good service, and quality products and entertainment. But to get them in the door, follow a few guidelines for promoting your nightclub.
Instructions
1. Plan a campaign to promote your nightclub. ClubProfit has a 3-week promotional planner available to bar and nightclub owners. Always identify your target market: A promotional effort to bring in college kids won't work for professionals, so describe the event in detail and figure out what avenues are open to you for a marketing blitz.
2. Do your math before offering specials on prices. Discounts are a great way to promote your nightclub, but not if you're consistently losing money. A couple of discount coupons in the beginning that yield satisfied customers but make 50 cents on the dollar are OK, but you'll have to figure out some other way to promote your nightclub if, say, a weekly ladies' night doesn't make you a profit.
3. Consider throwing theme parties. Mardi Gras, the Fourth of July and Halloween are all cause for celebration. Take into consideration the cost of decorating your club and dressing your staff. You need to make your nightclub a place your customers can enjoy themselves and look forward to returning again-with friends.
4. Keep abreast of local charities' needs. Be proactive in offering your place of business for fundraising events. Offer brochures with information about local human services, arts and environmental organizations. Hang posters on the walls of your nightclub to promote causes that are important in your community. Studies show that customers are more willing to buy from businesses that give something back.
