Make Party Favors For An 80th Birthday

A joyful celebration can be simple.


Celebrating an 80th birthday is a big occasion. It is a wonderful accomplishment to have lived a long and happy life, and it is well worth celebrating. Usually such an event will include members of the family and close friends of the octogenarian. Simplicity is the order of the day in planning for the party. Older people tire easily and appreciate an opportunity to celebrate without undue stress. Lovely and thoughtful party favors can contribute a lot to the celebration. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Stretch the organza out on a table top. With the ruler, mark off 9-inch squares, using the tailor chalk. Cut the organza fabric into 9-inch squares with the scissors. Make as many squares as you will have guests.


2. Spread out all your squares on a the table. Place a handful of after-dinner mints on each 9-inch square. When all the squares have received their candy, begin tying the organza into little bags. Tie each little bag with a ribbon in a shade that contrasts nicely with the organza.


3. Write the names of the guests on name cards and attach a name card to each organza bag of mints. The crowning touch will be a photo of the celebrant attached to the bag of mints as a keepsake of the event.
