Making your own invitations may be easier than you think. All you need is a computer and a printer to make your own colorful invites. Whether you are planning a birthday party or a dinner party, many sites offer free invitation templates that are specifically designed for your event. You can print out the blank invites, or type in the text before printing. Your guests are sure to be dazzled by the unique invitations you create. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Visit a website that offers free invitation templates. Some good sites include: Hooverwebdesign.com, Printfree.com and Microsoft.com. These sites have a collection of printable invitation templates, ready for you to download.
2. Choose an invitation that matches the event you are planning. For example, birthday party invitations may have cake or balloons with "Happy Birthday" written across the top. Printfree.com or Hooverwebdesign.com has some great birthday invites.
3. Once you have decided on the invitation you wish to create, click on the invite. A preview of the invitation will appear. If you like what you see, go ahead and save it on your computer.
4. Open it back up and type in your text. Information about the event should be entered. Location, Date, Time, and R.S.V.P information should be included on the invitation.
5. If you wish to write in your party details, you can print out the invitation directly from the website. Just click "File" then "Print" to print it out.
