Make Healthy Birthday Party Snacks for Young Children


Rather than watch a bunch a young children at a birthday party consume large amounts of sugar, serve healthy snacks instead. Healthy birthday party snacks for kids can be just as delicious as sugary ones and it doesn't require too much time or money to make them. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


Ants on a Log


1. Wash enough celery for the children that will be attending the birthday party.


2. Cut the celery into four inch sticks and place them on a paper towel to dry.


3. Spread peanut butter into the curve of each of the dry celery sticks.


4. Place three raisins in the peanut butter of each celery stick.


5. Put all of the "ants on a log" on a plate and serve them to the hungry young children.


Cheese Quesadilla Puzzles


6. Take one tortilla shell and place it in a frying pan placed over medium heat.


7. Cover the tortilla shell with shredded Mexican mixed cheese.


8. Place another tortilla shell on top of the cheese covered tortilla shell.


9. Cover the pan with its lid for two minutes, remove the lid and flip the quesadilla, and then place the lid back on the pan for another two minutes.


10. Place the quesadilla on a plate and cut it into random shapes with a pizza slicer.


11. Scramble the pieces of quesadilla and tell the young children that they have to put the puzzle together before they can eat their snack.


Fruit and Yogurt Sundaes


12. Place yogurt in a small bowl or cup.


13. Chop up strawberries and bananas.


14. Place strawberries, bananas, and blueberries on top of the yogurt.


15. Sprinkle half a handful of miniature chocolate chips on top of the yogurt sundae to make them more enticing to the young children.


16. Serve them with a spoon and watch as the young ones gobble them up.
