Make Kindergarten Bingo Cards

Bingo is a fun game for kindergartners to play, with rules that are simple to learn. Depending on the academic level of the group, you may want to make traditional bingo cards with numbers so the kids can practice recognizing them, or you may want to substitute images for the numbers so that the cards don’t require reading. You can either design your own cards, or you can customize and print bingo cards with a variety of kindergarten-friendly themes available online.

Instructions

1. Create a new document in a word processor such as Microsoft Word.

2. Use the "Page Setup" option in the "File" menu to choose landscape orientation. Set the top, bottom and side margins of the page to about 1/2 inch.

3. Insert a table using the "Insert Table" command from the "Table" menu (or a similar command) with 5 columns and 6 rows (or 5 row and 1 header).

4. Choose a font that’s easy for kindergartners to read, and type one letter from the word “BINGO” at the top of each column. Use a smaller version of the font to type the word “free” in the center square, if desired.

5. Type a different number in each space of the table. You may want to limit the numbers to 1 through 10 or 1 through 20, or numbers the kindergartners know. You may also want to include the letter of the column before each number to make it easier for the kids to match the letters and numbers.

6. Save the file with the bingo card. Use the "Save" as command to create more bingo cards, each with different number arrangements, so you have enough for all the kindergartners.

7. Print each bingo card on a piece of cardstock or colored paper.

8. Print a sheet with all the letter and number combinations, then cut the numbers apart to use as calling cards.
