Make your own birthday invitations this year.
Throwing a child's birthday party is a unique, and potentially expensive, experience. From banners, to balloons and birthday cake, paying a professional to design your child's party can drain your resources. There are several ways to save money on this event, including making your own invitations. No matter what the theme of the party, making a child-inspired invitation will have all the kids in the neighborhood excited for the big event. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions
1. Fold a piece of white card stock lengthwise.
2. Cut a piece of scrapbooking paper of any color to the size of the front cover of the card.
3. Glue the scrapbooking paper to the front of the card.
4. Cut out the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY from different colors of construction paper.
5. Spray the front cover of the card with spray glitter. Allow the glitter to dry.
6. Glue the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the front of the card with white glue. Place the letters diagonally across the card or in any other interesting way you can devise.
7. Write the words "It's Party Time For (your child's name)" on the inside of the card with a felt tipped pen. Also add the Date, Location and Time of the party.
8. Fill the envelope for the card with glitter and a few pieces of candy.
9. Place the Birthday card into the envelope and address it to the intended guest.
10. Repeat this process for every invitation.
