Ideas For Goody Bags For Boys

Is your son having a birthday party and inviting a bunch of his buddies? If so, you're probably stumped about what on earth to put in their goody bags. Try out some of these goody bag ideas - no dress-up jewelry or shiny stickers allowed. Best of all, some of them require little or no assembly by you because the kids will make their bags themselves! Does this Spark an idea?

Goody Bags for Themed Parties

If your birthday boy has chosen a theme for the party, such as a cartoon figure, a sport or a moving vehicle, odds are his friends share his opinion. Try to find small gifts that go along with his theme, and your guests will most likely enjoy them. For example, if your son is having an race-car-themed party, try buying miniature cars (cheap plastic, if the kids are young enough), race car stickers, whistles (hold your ears!), miniature racing flags and anything else you can get your hands on. If your child chooses a baseball-themed party, put baseball-shaped candy and a pack of baseball cards, as well as any other goodies, into one of those big foam "We're No. 1" fingers you can buy at the park.

Goody Bag Shop

Give the birthday boy cans filled with various little treats, each worth a different amount. Have your son draw a dollar bill, and put his face in the middle of it. Make enough copies of the fake dollar for each of the children to have a dozen or so. Have all of the kids "buy" the treats from your son, the storekeeper. This works especially well for kids that are just learning count or work with money.

Treasure Hunt

Hide various treats around your backyard, give each kid a bag, and let the kids loose! Whatever each child manages to pick up is theirs to keep. The best part of this goody bag is that it includes an activity that will keep the kids busy for a few minutes while you take a breather. Remember to encourage the kids to share with those who were "less fortunate" after the hunt is over.
