Instructions

1. Choose the website you wish to use to create your invite. Select the birthday invitation option that will take you to a range of designs and themes. The designs often vary from formal to casual; select the option that is most suited to your party.

2. Type important birthday information into the text box provided. You should include the time and location of the party, if there is a dress code and RSVP information. The text should reflect the event; keep information for a casual party light-hearted by including a title such as "Katie's Big Birthday Bash."

3. Personalize your card by changing the color, type and size of the font. If there is an option to upload a photograph, add an image of the guest of honor from a previous birthday party. Add clip art ,such as balloons or cake, to give a theme to your invitation, if the site allows you to do so.

4. Review the information you have typed to ensure there are no spelling or grammatical errors. Have a friend or family member proofread it for you before you print out the invitations to avoid wasting your printer ink on mistakes.

5. Load your paper into the printer and select "Print" when you are happy with your finished design. You may wish to use colored paper or card stock for a more professional finish. Depending on which site you have used, you may be able to select the quality of the print. Select "Best" if you want your invitations to be printed to the highest quality.
