Send Group Invitations

Groups are a way for Facebook users who share a common trait or passion to find one another and discuss topics of mutual interest. Unless someone sees a group that he would like to join in his news feed or searches for groups of a similar nature, however, it's unlikely that a specific person will become a member of your group. If you're trying to get more people to join a group that's important to you, you'll have to invite them yourself.

Instructions

1. Log into Facebook and type the name of your group in the search bar at the top of the screen. Click on it in the list that appears.

2. Click the "Invite People to Join" link just under the group picture on the upper left. Select friends from the list or enter a name in the search bar to find a specific person. Enter email addresses into the appropriate field to invite people with whom you are not Facebook friends.

3. Add a message to accompany your invitation, if you like, in the field at the bottom. Click the "Send Invitations" button.
