Promote A Bar & Nightclub

Bring more business into your bar with special promotions.

Getting the word out for a bar or nightclub can be a difficult process. Whether it's a brand new venue or you're simply trying to remind people of an established hangout, promoting a bar is no easy task. Oftentimes, money spent on advertisements and promotions are wasted when customers do not take advantage of it. You can get the community interested in your bar or nightclub by linking yourself with other organizations to draw in a customer base. As long as you have the right business to back up your promotions, these new customers will keep returning.

Instructions

1. Hold fundraisers or other community events in your bar. Pair with a school or community organization to offer a percentage of the night's profits to their cause. They'll have to do the leg work to bring in customers if they want to raise money and plenty of the members friends and family should attend the event. Fundraisers will bring in customers to your club that otherwise might never have attended. If you can impress these charity-minded patrons with your nightclub, you're likely to make some new customers.

2. Offer birthday promotions. According to Quantified Market Group, over 50 percent of Americans go out to eat on their birthday. Even if your bar doesn't offer food, you can still capitalize on this trend. You can offer promotions like specially priced drinks or admission fees on a person's birthday weekend. You can even take it a step further and offer discounted rates for birthday parties, bringing in large groups to your establishment.

3. Engage in direct email marketing. Especially if you are pursuing a younger clientele, the importance of your Internet presence should not be underestimated. Encourage patrons to sign up for email lists and periodically notify them of menu changes, special promotions or events. Send out emails to these customers every few months; you want to stay fresh in customers' minds, but don't send so many emails that you annoy them.
