List of Hallmark Barbie Ornaments
According to Fashion Doll Guide, Hallmark has been making Barbie Christmas Ornaments since 1993 and there are over 100 of them as of 2009. In the early years, they only produced one or two ornaments, but each year the number of varieties increased. In 2009 Hallmark created 12 different Barbie ornaments. Many of the older ornaments are hard to find and prices for all ornaments can range from about $6 to $70, depending on its rarity and collectible value. Does this Spark an idea?
1993 to 1999
In 1993 the first Barbie ornament was Holiday Barbie, featuring Barbie in a bright red dress adorned with gold sparkles. For 1994, there was Holiday Barbie #2 and 1959 Barbie. The year 1995 brought Holiday Barbie #3, and four other Barbie ornaments. There were another five in 1996, highlighting the first Dolls of the World ornament. Ten ornaments were produced in 1997, including both blond and brunette Wedding Day Sets, another Dolls of the World and four different Holiday Barbies. Five ornaments were produced in 1998, and another ten in 1999, including the 40th Anniversary Barbie and the Millennium Princess Barbie.
2000 to 2005
The year 2000 saw nine new Barbie ornaments. Among them were the 1962 Barbie Hatbox, Ballerina Barbie, Harley Davidson Barbie and Winter Fun with Barbie and Kelly. In 2001, the nine ornaments featured the 1950s Barbie, Barbie as the Sugar Plum (a set of 2) and Birthday Wishes Barbie. The ten ornaments of 2002 included Barbie Bride in three different hair colors, Barbie as Rapunzel and Barbie as a Snowflake. Only seven ornaments appeared in 2004, including the 45th Anniversary Barbie, which was lighted. The year 2005 featured several fantasy Barbie ornaments including The Magic of Pegasus, Titania, Delphine and Fairytopia.
2006 to 2009
Nine Barbie ornaments appeared in 2006, with Barbie as Genevieve, 12 Dancing Princesses, Fashion Pup and Evening Out, which was table decor with eight mini ornaments. The Continental Holiday Barbie debuted in 2007, along with the Family Deluxe House, Little Black Dress, Spa Day and Flower Ballerina. In 2008, Hallmark produced Barbie as Eden Starling, Barbie as Liana, the Barbie Shoe Tree, Star Vette and Evening Gala Barbie. In 2009, 50 Years of Fabulous Barbie appeared, along with Barbie as Corinne, Barbie in the Spotlight, Barbie Thumbelina, Barbie's Boyfriend Ken, Best in Show Barbie, Shoe-Sational Barbie and Teen Age Fashion Model Barbie.
