Ideas For A Kid'S Birthday Party Goodie Bag

Use a Chinese food box as a goodie bag.

There's a lot to think of when planning a child's birthday party, from the decor to the activities. One element of the party that you want to be sure to give attention are the goodie bags, as they are a way of thanking guests for coming to the affair and often serve as a memento of the party. Make up goodie bags that correspond with the theme of your party. Does this Spark an idea?

Princess Party Goodie Bags

If you're throwing a princess-themed party for your little girl, create goodie bags that are filled with princess-inspired treats. Choose a pink container to hold the treats, such as a pink bag or pink basket. Fill the container with assorted girlie goodies like lip gloss, nail polish, a princess wand, a tiara and costume jewelry. Guests can use the treats in these goodie bags to pretend that they are princesses even after the party is over.

Western Party

A Western-themed party is fun for your little partner and his pals, and the little cowboys will appreciate getting some loot to take home. Purchase red bandannas from a craft store. Spread the bandannas out and place assorted items in the center. Some items you may consider including are red rope licorice, toy sheriff badges, a plush horse, toy cowboy figures and cowboy stickers. You can also include some hard candies and lollipops to tickle party goers' taste buds.

Luau Party

Bring a touch of the tropics to your child's party with a luau theme. Use child-sized sand pails, which can be purchased from a toy store, as the containers for these goodie bags. Some tropical-inspired items that you may consider filling the pails with include leis, sunglasses, flip flops, paper umbrellas and a small, un-inflated beach ball.

Outer Space Party

A child who is wild about astronauts and all things related to space would likely enjoy an outer space party. The goodie bags for such a party should feature stars. Use star-shaped stencils to decorate brown paper lunch bags. Stuff the bags with Milky Way bars, Pop Rocks candy and rock candy. Other items that would fit the theme include a map of the night sky, glow-in-the-dark stars, cosmic stickers and maybe a toy rocket ship.

Circus Party

If your tyke is wild about the circus, either take her and her friends to the actual circus or throw a circus-inspired party. Paint red stripes on Chinese food take-out boxes, which you can buy at a craft store, to resemble popcorn boxes. Fill the boxes with assorted circus-related items, such as a bag of peanuts, a plush elephant, clown coloring pages, lollipops and face paint that the kids can use to make themselves look like clowns.
